The format for Emotion Integration is changing! I've decided to split the 2-hour live radio stream into two segments. The first hour will pretty much be business as usual - I'll present topics from Dynamic Emotional Integration® for learning and discussion.

In the second hour, I'd like to focus on bringing the creative work of fellow steemians to the show to share. Being that my show is about emotions, that will be the focus of the creative content I'm looking for. The best way I thought to make this happen is by offering a contest!

Steemotion is the cool name that @ma1neevent gave me during the last show. Thanks ma1ne!

Here's how it will work:

• Each time I run the contest I will provide a topic around emotions, empathy, etc.
• The call for submissions will have a deadline, and prizes will be offered.
• If you submit a piece, you agree to let me share it (with links to your original post) during the show.
• I will announce winners during the show, and award prizes then or soon after.
• Winners will be judged not only on quality, but also on how well they represent the topic.

What to submit:

• Original work (by you) expressing the topic
• Creative work of any form will be accepted (audio, visual, literary, etc.)

How to submit:

• Post your piece on your blog, with a link back to this contest
• Post a link to your blogpost in the comments of this post.
• Limit to 3 entries per person.

So, without further ado, the topic for this first round is...

~ SADNESS ~

In DEI, Sadness is the emotion that helps us let go of things. It arises to let us know that something isn't working, and it gently urges us to move on and let our tears wash that something out of our lives. Sadness is the emotion that flows and helps keep us from being overwhelmed. If you really let yourself feel into the emotion of Sadness, you will find its beauty to be gentle, wise, and healing.

I want to keep this sustainable and hope to offer this contest for every show, so I'm keeping the prizes modest for this first round, but hopefully I can increase them as time goes on.
