You Are Not The Thoughts

I thought I'd try my hand at reviewing several MSPWaves Shows, starting with Coffee and Philosophy with Clayboyn. Tonight's featured guest was @shello. This was my first time hearing Shello's voice and let me tell you, it was a pleasure! Not only in her tone but especially the words that she spoke. She really painted a picture along side Clayboyn that just flowed nicely. All the topics and ideas just flowed very organically and each complimenting the other in some shape or form. Mind you, this is all live radio. They did not rehearse or have some sort of script. It all oozed from their dome tops! The best conversations are these very real ones where it's as if I was listening to a symphony. The energy was on point within the two and in the audience chat.

I always choose to listen to MSPwaves via the Discord app on my phone for, reasons. I would've used my laptop but well, let's just say mother's day was an event that lead to me now working solely from my phone. Which is fine, I can still get my messages across so I am still in luck. I am also a greeter for PALnet so I like to double duties by greeting while I listen. Which can get distracting. I tend to lean towards engaging with MSPwaves audience over actively greeting which I'm becoming aware of. I don't do balance very well but hey, I do know how to float and that's pretty fun.

Me interacting with my friends and fellow audience members

The reason I love tuning in through the Discord app and PALnet server is because MSPwaves is unlike any other radio station you'll find on the FM. You have the option of interacting with fellow audience members and the DJ along with their guests. I love this! I am usually just socializing with my kiddos and crave the adult interaction, from afar for now but one day I would like to attend a Meetup. Especially seeing and hearing about other meetups, it feels like a natural next step since I've been messaging these people on discord since October of last year. But that's a topic for another post, I suppose.

This episode of Coffee and Philosophy with Clayboyn and Shello was fairly smooth on the tech side as well. The sound wasn't choppy and only dropped for a second which was easily recovered from so no big deal. I pretty much listened to the whole show up until before the end, I got pulled away by the kiddos being kids and not wanting to sleep at their regular scheduled bedtime. Oh well, I was able to calm them down and get back to where my internet connection was and was able to tune in at the very end.

I like that the topics just transition into another as if it was just a conversation with a friend and less interviewy. Not that I don't like interviews but this is a Philosophy show and I enjoy Philosophy in the form of conversation and laughter. Even topics such as near death experiences were embraced. There was no awkwardness or avoiding. Everything sort of unfolded like a blooming plant in sunlight.

When the topic of consciousness came about, my mind was dancing around it. Because I have played with different forms of consciousness living with schizophrenia and ptsd.

Consciousness... Definitely on a spectrum and something that I slip in and out of. Hence, the name spacestace. Sometimes when the world screams "be present," my mind says fuck no. And it does its own thing, like a balloon carried by the wind. It just floats along to a place that makes sense.

You can catch @clayboyn's show on Saturday nights at 11pm CST (Sunday 4am UST). He puts out an announcement post beforehand with this information and a bit about who he will have as a guest and whatnot so you can kind of prepare for the show to come. I definitely appreciate this since my mind loves reminders and sticky notes for stuff that matters to me which can get lost up there in the space sauce.

Up next! I plan on reviewing the show that really opened the MSPwaves floodgates when it comes to thrills and hugpits: Full Force Radio! With the hostess with the mostest, @crimsonclad! And I don't plan on stopping there, I have so many shows I'd love to review and, yes, they are just that good! Alright, steemy dreamy time for me. It's 1:20am here and I must get some sleep before the couch goblins return from their slumber. Til we meet again, shello and goodnight.

Thanks so much! 🤗♥

You are welcome. Still a time to get a couple more reviews in if you fancy.

Thanks for the awesome review. I really don't even like to think of it as an interview show, but it's kind of funny because this is the first time I've spoken to Shello and it's been the same way with several others. It's just a conversation and I try to greet everyone as a friend. We're all one anyway... :)

That's what's up! Yeah I can feel that. When I went on your show its like your voice has the kind of calmness that helps a guest feel comfortable speaking their mind without being therapisty if that makes sense 😊

Thank you @staceyjean for this post review. It caused me to go to @shello's blog page where I stayed for about 40 minutes. Changed my life. Is there a recording of the coffee and philosophy interview with @clayboyn and @shello?

Hi rensoul17! Here's the link, it's included in the post in the very beginning but I'll place the link here :

https://steemit.com/philosophy/@clayboyn/7eus6571

Enjoy! I definitely would like to catch up on shello posts especially after hearing her thoughts during the Coffee and Philosophy show

tried that it did not work, error message came up saying it could not be loaded. So I tried it on another device and got the same reply. UGH!!. I can't find a sad face emoji right now. I know I am such a brat and a Diva But when you find awewsome info that does not come along everyday you want to dive in more. If there is another way I can hear it please let me know. I left @clayboyn a message as well. I want on MSP Wave on discord and pulled up a recording from the show @clayboyn did with @isaria and it played just fine....Oh Well, You have a Super Happy Monday and continue to be awesome spacestace.

Here's a YouTube link which should work. I think this episode was his first time uploading to dlive.

You have a minor grammatical mistake in the following sentence:

And it does it's own thing, like a balloon carried by the wind.
It should be its own instead of it's own.

WOW that's great picture. thanks for sharing.

Did you read the review?

Good review! I caught part of the show toward the end, I would have liked to have listened to more of it.
I see you're getting a pretty decent upvote from steembasicincome now. :-)

Thanks! I don't know how I ended up on the steembasicincome list but definitely grateful they exist.
