Can you explain the concept of the low rating and what that means? How do you increase a rating? I plan to transfer bitcoin to my steem account, but am not entirely sure what it is for. SuperNewbie - I apologize for the questions.

It's absolutely fine, no need to apologize. Have you herd of the Discord platform? It is a chatroom run off of Steemit basically. I'll send you an invite to the SGG chatroom. To answer your questions here, when you are talking about low rating, are you talking about reputation, steem power or something else? Transferring crypto to your Steemit account is pretty easy, I can show you how with a tutorial but I'll tell you for now. You basically need to buy Steem from Blocktrades, then transfer it to your Steemit account. What exchange do you use? Or do you store BTC in a wallet off an exchange?
