ME IN A POEM: MY MTM ENTRY

in mtm •  7 years ago

In her I developed
Her body I disfigured
Her food I dissolved
The pain she withheld

Patient she is
Watching me grow and walk
She melted gradually like chalk
Like a little toy I talked

Gradually I learnt
Her Shoulder I lean
Even when she was lean

Her cupboard scanty
Her heart panting
She still bought me panty
Even when she could not attend party
She still didn't love me partly

Her pocket poor
Her heart she pours
For me to get all

Stingy I am
Cheerful she still bought me yam
Even when she couldn't afford a yarn
Her favorite I still am

Her tears she hide
Her rules I didn't abide
The floor I slide
By me she sides

My voice I shout
Husband screamed out
But she didn't turn to a lout

Low she stoops
Poop she scoops
Sick she looks
Just for me to face my books

Love you have
Even when you've been halfed.

This is my entry.
