Copy/pasting the content as a post of your own is called plagiarism, or in other words: content stealing. This is something that is not accepted on Steemit. Many people keep an eye on it and flag this sort of content. This isn't good for your account in the long run, so you should avoid doing it.

If someone asks you for information and you want to show them information from a site, you should copy the link and past it in a direct reply to them. Like the reply you gave to me just now or the one I'm writting to you right now.

You shouldn't make a seperate post for it if you're not planning on filling it with your own words. It will just give your account a bad name if you do. So just write original content, or reply in a comment with a direct link if you want to give some information from a site.
