United lost to spurs on monday and reaction to it has varied among fans and pundits alike. My issue with Jose is his insistence on the 4-2-3-1 formation which has seen United struggle most times this season even with wins. The 3 at the back and 4-3-3 formations have seen United play their most effective and good football this season.
Pogba played badly no doubt but it's been clear even with France that he struggles in a double pivot so why play him there? You buy a £90m player and play to his strengths not the other way sound. Lingard has been very good for United but United need a third CM to compete in midfield so he can be an impact sub .
Sanchez and Shaw will need to form a partnership while Martial from time to time needs to be considered an alternative to Lukaku upfront.
All in all United will come good but Jose needs to stick to 3-4-3 and 4-3-3,these approaches have served United well and no need to stick to 4-2-3-1.
