Why we name ourselves MultiVAC?

in multivac •  6 years ago  (edited)

MultiVAC is the name of the supercomputer in science fiction The Last Question by Isaac Asimov, written in 1956. It has the greatest capacity of self-adjusting and self-correcting, and helps alleviate the energy shortage which is due to limited coal and uranium resources on Earth by utilising sunpower. Energy exhaustion, however, remains tricky and unsolved. In a hundred billion years, from MultiVAC to its transformed version Cosmic AC, the response to the last question of how may entropy be reversed is always INSUFFICIENT DATA FOR MEANINGFUL ANSWER.

It is until ten trillion years later that AC, the ultimate version of MultiVAC, finally figures out the answer after sorting out all collected data that expands across all these long-long years.

If you are interested in AC’s answer, read the The Last Question and you will be sure to find out why we name ourselves MultiVAC.

About MultiVAC:
MultiVAC is High-Throughput Flexible Blockchain Platform based on Trusted Sharding Computation. It’s a next-generation public blockchain platform built for integration with large-scale decentralized applications (dApps). As a core aspect of the protocol, developers can customize parameters for consistency, availability and partition tolerance, providing a high degree of user autonomy over the blockchain infrastructure.
