HeyMINGA City tour: Through Munich with the Bulli

You don't want to go on a classic sightseeing tour during your holiday in Munich? The firt tip is so much more authentic: Instead of taking the typical tourist buses, you can explore the city by taking a heyMINGA tour. In the Bulli, you will get to know Munich from the eyes of local people and travel to places that are not on the classic sightseeing routes. You will pass the most important sights, however, the focus is on stories about the districts, insider tips and a few places you would not otherwise have had on the program. By the way, the Bulli can also be rented for companies or private groups. Who is celebrating bachelor parties in the future?

Open Air Cinema in Munich

In summer, when the nights get warmer, it is really fun to enjoy the nights outdoors. I could not spend enough time outside! Good to know that Munich offers some open air cinemas in which warm summer nights can be enjoyed even more entertaining. The choice is big: "Fiehhof" cinema in the so called slaughterhouse area, "Kino, Mond und Sterne" in the Westpark, the open air cinema at the Olympiasee ... Even Germanys most popular crime series can be seen in Munich under the stars: Every Sunday visitors can enjoy a meal of the five food tents and at 8.15 pm the current episode of "Tatort" or "Polizeiruf 110" is starting.

Highlights und Events in Olympiapark

You could probably spend several days in Olympiapark, without being bored. The Olympiapark has so much to offer: the BMW Museum and BMW Welt, SEA LIFE, the Olympiaturm, Munich's highest beer garden, the Olympia Alm and, of course, the Olympiastadion and the Olympiahalle, which invite to Flying Fox or a climbing tour on the roof. But what I like every year, especially, is the impark summer festival! This year it will take place from 3 to 27 August. Highlights include the free concerts at Theatron, the new swimming bar on the Olympia Lake, wakeboarding and the festival with a Ferris wheel. By the way, this year again two fireworks will take place: On the 10th and 24th of August! Perhaps the perfect trip for your holiday in Munich?

Holidays in Munich: Beautiful parks and excursion tips

Munich offers so many parks that it is difficult to choose one. With 3,75 km², the English Garden is one of the largest parks in the world! A trip to the Chinese Tower, a little round with the rowing boat on the Kleinhesseloher lake in the middle of the English Garden or a trip with the rickshaw: There is enough to discover in the English Garden. Of course, you can not forget the Eisbach wave, which is known all over the world, as surfers surf the waves all year round.

The castle grounds of Nymphenburg Castle are very popular. The atmosphere here is really romantic, and anyone with a Venetian gondola running across the castle's river can not imagine a more suitable place for a romantic marriage proposal. Right next door is the Botanical Garden. A splendid park, which especially is worth a visit when the tulip blossom reveals its full splendor. By the way, we were fortunate enough to see the Titanium, the world's greatest flower, when the flower opened for the first time after nearly 30 years.

Munich's best restaurants: Enjoy the variety of gastronomy

Munich's gastronomic diversity is often underestimated. Sure, if you are in Berlin, you might have to admit that there is more to discover. Nevertheless, the range is also huge here and on a holiday in Munich there is also in culinary terms much to discover.

Breakfast: Our personal hot spot for an excellent breakfast is the bakery Alof in the Hans-Sachs-Straße and in the second branch in Untergiesing. Enjoy a perfect coffee and a Stinglbreze or an oven-warm croissant. Also in the Das Maria there is a very good breakfast. If you want a brunch on Sundays, at La Bohème you will surely enjoy your brunch and listen to great live music.

Lunch: How about a vegan salad in the Wagners Juicery and Health Food? Or try one of our five tips for the perfect Buddha Bowl in Munich! If you like something more exotic, you should definitely try the Fei Scho. In the heart of the Glockenbachviertel, there is Vietnamese food in a unique ambience.

Dinner: If the weather matches, you should definitely visit a beer garden. You will find this in Munich everywhere and it is difficult to emphasize a few here. Nevertheless, we would like to recommend you a few beer gardens: Osterwaldgarten, Zum Flaucher, Hischgarten, beer garden on the Chinese Tower, Taxisgarten. Did you know that you can bring your food in a real beer garden? Only beverages must be bought on the spot. Alternative for rainy weather: The Wirtshaus Maximilian. Here you can enjoy delicious Bavarian cuisine in a traditional-modern atmosphere.
