Let's do some Sleuthing!!!

Mystery.png

So there I was, a mouse among men with my Colt .45 in hand and sweat running freely down my face. I was blustery and full of nonsense. This time it cost me dearly.

A troupe of Circus Performers encircled me as I stood over the smoldering body of one Kathleen Tru-Hardy, the most beautiful acrobat that had graced the trapeze. At least, in this Circus she was. The bullet hole in her back would match my weapon of choice and the torch in my hand still dripped onto her corpse.

Again, I will continue my own story a bit since nobody so far has joined in on the game.

How I had come to this point was beyond me, but I had to get away. I threw down my flash powder and, in a puff of smoke, vanished. Of course, I didn't really vanish, but as I was an amateur Magician it was a simple feat to follow the darkest shadow as everyone shielded their eyes.

"And here I make my grand escape", I thought to myself. "To the streets with me."

There was a tumult of shouting as they realized they had been duped; but I hadn't done it. I would never have killed that poor woman. Yet, here in my hands were the evidence and even I could not dispute it. One minute I was getting Popcorn and the next thing I knew I was sprinting through the empty streets of Lower Amsterdam. My cloak flapped at my side and the briny wind assaulted my cheeks, but I wasn't about to stop with an angry mob chasing me down.

I ducked beneath an awning and threw open a small door, only to find myself...

Take it away!!

@dbzfan4awhile , you write so well I'm shooting blanks trying to think of a story continuation lol. Read the other two games too.

Thanks so much, it took me a long time to really come to terms with the fact that I really am a good writer. It's nice to hear compliments once in a while. I tend to like good criticism.

I actually also posted this morning that my first published novel, AJAX Tarnished, is now available at Amazon and hope that I can get some people reading and providing constructive Reviews for it.

As for posting to the story, it's not so much to me about continuity of voice or quality, but to see where other people guide the stories. That's why these are chains b/c when one adds a new "link", it will provide another branch to the storyline(s).

Again, thanks so much.
