HOT ROD — Ford Model A / 4-door Sedan

The Ford Model A followed the Model T which had been sold for 18 years.

It was also produced in Europe, South America and, under license, in the Soviet Union. Production commenced in October 1929 and ended on 31 August 1931 after 4.320.446 completed untits. The Hot rod conversion shown here was done in Texas, in 2013/14 and required about 600-700 working hours. The engine is a Chevrolet V8 with 350cui displacement. The TH350 automatic gearshift acts on a 9” Ford rear axle. The Z-shaped frame is boxed and channelled with the frame. The front axle is dropped and at the rear an air ride gear is installed.
