Goryeo Dynasty Exhibition in Korean National Museum

There was the Goryeo dynasty exhibition in Korean National Museum.
It was not an easy chance to see such many relics of Goryeo dynasty in one place like this exhibition.

USA, GB and France helped for this exhibition with sending relics they possessed.

One thing I felt sorry was the relics from Noth Korea and Japan were not displayed. Due to the current political situation, it was said that both 2 countries refused to cooperate for this exhibition.

Anyway when I stopped by the exhibition, there were lots of people to see this exhibition at this chance. So it was not easy to take the photos of the relics.

Exhibition was constituted with several display rooms.
In this post, I’d like to introduce some relics displayed in the first room.

The first one was the glass vessel which showed the communication between Goryeo and the western world.

Second relic was the stone text book for interpretation.
Chinese and Mongolian interpretation text was caved on the surface of the stone. How could they carry those heavy stone text.

Third one was a bronze mirror.
According to the explanation, the pattern of the wave of the sea was so meaningful. It was said that the sailors threw this bronze mirror into the sea to prevent bad luck in sailing.

Magical! Especially the vessel with its yellowish shimmer.

It's so sad to sew that Korea and Japan were not displayed really, I think these two have very rich history that could've thrilled us in my opinion really, however I think the history behind the bronze mirror is really very thrilling wow, thanks for the amazing pictures

In my opinion, Japan, Korea, China have big role and many relics in their history. And it will be great to take a part in next exhibitions.
And your photos make me know that the beauty come not only the relic but also your hard work. Thank you @slowwalker for sharing this post.

It is a shame that North Korea and Japan did not want to display the relics Goryeo dynasty. I believe that happening in many different countries too, we human are all the same. I love that glass vessels due to yellow color, it has a similarity to golden vessel and gold and green colors they always match very well together. The stone with ancient writings is something that always caught my attention, I love calligraphy and also attempted it when was younger. Thank you for such beautiful pictures :)

What extraordinary relics these are. I love the addition of the spiders threads on the first image. The bronze mirror is absolutely stunning too which a great story attached. Thank you Resteemed 🙏🦋🌴🌈🍀💛

@slowwalker, Glad to see first time some of relics of Goryeo dynasty in Korea. Also Some states help to this exhibition. First one showing biggest communication between Western world and Goryeo dynasty as you explained. It's amazing looks indeed. Second stone text book for interpretation heavy looks. Bronze mirror absolutely amazing relics. Completely brilliant.

Text books of stone would be quite a workout to carry around. Amazing relics. I think the mermaids picked up those mirrors. 😊
