This museum, a branch of New Delhi’s National Museum, is dedicated to traditional Indian art and culture. It also houses several huge paintings by renowned artists of a variety of religious traditions. Founded in 1952 as part of Banaras Hindu University, it was actually closed for several years after being damaged during the 2001 earthquake and reopened only recently. Apart from its aesthetic value, it is an institution dedicated to promoting Indian arts and culture, making it an ideal spot for history buffs visiting India. The Bharat Kala Bhavan Museum can be found on Residency Road near Golghar and Madhav Das Park; it is open from 10 AM to 5 PM every day except Monday and Friday.

The country's first international museum, International Doll's Museum is a nonprofit organization that has been preserving dolls from all over world for over 50 years. It houses over 10,000 dolls from different parts of India and some parts of Europe, America and Africa. The museum also organizes fashion shows based on dolls and conducts storytelling sessions for children using life-size dressed-up dolls. Its collection includes antique German dollhouses dating back to 18th century, as well as Victorian toys from late 19th century London.
