The initial post discusses why certain songs give that tingling feeling and can make the hairs on your arms stand on end. Included in the blog are some records that do it for me.

Oh, this is cool that you're documenting your experiences with frisson! It's really hard for me to recapture that feeling. Usually it's a combination of everything going on in my life that suddenly makes a song seem hair-raisingly wondrous. For me, it's usually a film score, like Kito Kito from the movie "Wolf Children".

I'm glad you guys enjoyed it! There's an entire Spotify playlist where that came from, most of them songs I got the chills to while watching movies or playing video games. Maybe I'll take a page from your book and start officially documenting them. :)
I love words and seeing what terms people come up with to describe common phenomena (that's how I originally discovered ASMR too, by searching "why does my head tingle when I watch someone draw" hahaha).

I owe Nirvanna a debt of gratitude for annihilating hair metal! Here's a unique little number from '93 (or around that time). The picture here is from the previous incarnation of the same artists and sounds much different than the song you will here. If you like this, check it all out. It all has its place in music history.

Yes, but it was the mid nineties. The plateau period for death metal. Their first demo sounded like every other death metal band until bassist Sean Malone came on board and introduced the fusion. Here are two tracks that don't have the death growls:

Another classic from the last great time in rock history:
First heard sometime in 1993. I was listening to this new band with a new style with my best friend and a sack of weed. The chills came with this track in the way Kurt Cobain's voice captures and represents such pure emotion. There is certainly something in the way his voice says it all with few words. One of pop cultures' true tragedies.

Yes his voice works well here and on some of the slower tracks. Compare this with the first album track you linked and i can see why grohl looks to be falling asleep constantly!

Just when I think I'm finished, something else comes to mind!
I'm ashamed that it took me so long to discover the splendor that is Yes! I had only heard partial songs that are staples of classic rock radio. It wasn't until My wife and I saw them live in Tampa, FL in 2004 or '05 that I got a taste of what I had been missing out on for so long. There were chills throughout the entire show. At the same time, I am also grateful to not have been a fan before this show. You see, this particular show the band did not perform Star Ship Trooper (a band staple and fan favorite). My good friend looked like someone shot his dog when the lights came on. I was blissfully unaware of the tragedy!
