Amplifier , Home Receiver , Cinema Movie Sound System , Are You Getting The Watts You Think You Have ?

Hi all, here is a short post about ( My ) receiver and amplifier or cinema movies system. The one i will talk about is a Onkyo HT RC-470 .

There is not really a better than other sound system or cinema system or amplifier or receiver name them all. I think, they are all good but they have their pros and cond.

I do this post for a particular reason, this have been a debate for a long time now, this amplifier can't reach 1155 Watts. Now we will leave on the side all scientific test possible to do because i will write en entire book about it but the main test here is simply with a electrical cord that come from a Back-UPS Pro 1500 , witch is pretty accurate.

Again, there is variation, peak and bass boost etc. in every song. I did make the test with different song and it was really good. Peaking at around 1000 watts, with 6 front tower speaker and ( 2 subwoofer powered by themselves ) and 2 back tower speaker ( also powered by themselves with a 12 inch on each tower but for this test they was not powered only pure sound from speaker from amplifier /receiver )

It really does pull out 1000 watts in peak on different song, and i can still go up for a while, i did not since i don't want to broke them but well, its satisfying !!!!!

Even after those test, i will elaborate a little bit , i am a active member of different group on Facebook, from Record collection group to HI-Fi music group i post quite often what i know and most of the time its concrete informations. I like to dig deep on the net to have a real information or answer to my question . Over time i did realise, most of them people when they don't know something , they will tell you its not possible or its either not good. And even after showing these video i have done, for them , its not possible and i am still wrong. The Amplifier / Receiver is pulling out at least 1000 watts no matter what with all channel on. Its simple, right away you have 7.2 channel, 7 x 100 minimum that the amp is saying on the spec page, .2 for subwoofer, then you have different combinaison possible with also Zone 2 and 3 witch i did not try yet . Normally it come from my computer from a PCe-E card sound blaster extreme X-FI Platinum to the receiver / amplifier in optic fiber , on this test straight from YouTube so next test will be on a CD disc or from a files since we can't reach the same quality

Again and again, some will say that its not possible because of the standard on electrical item and the class attach to it. On these the brand can play from high quality item to poor quality one.

Now that i know myself and i did work hard to get there i still have a long run to do. Always keep your mind open from other around you, you will always learn something different

You can take a class lesson in a year, and still not understand something . Some people can do the same class, but do it in a month . Why ? Because people are different from other and everyone have their skills in different aspect of the life.

So if Jacques is a Judge, Then you can be a Judge you also, if Charles is a Firefighter , i am 100 % sure that you can do it also. The company that grade hockey cards, why not you ?

I am the kind of person who never listen to tv or newspaper or politics, but i love to gather real informations around all of these subject . The real informations , what people put on side, me i go deep.

I am not always right , its normal because if i was always right i would be rich and living on a private island haha
