I posted a previous youtube vid, which also features some of these free tracks, which I hope are useful, especially if you do a lot of driving for/to work every day.
...but I wanted to post the complete Soundcloud 'Embient' playlist of experiments, where you'll find most of them available to download individually.
I named the list 'Miles to Go Before I Sleep' playlist, after the Robert Frost poem.
'But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep'
I had a good time making them, combining funky elements, folky samples from my Embertime guitar recordings and world music and drums, plus inspirations from movies and games.
Enjoy!
Please upvote, etc. to support - possibly - another track one day.
Extra Note... One of the tracks I've most happy with (from a driving point of view) is 'Drinking the Road'. Just that title was enough to try and make me forge out a dark, meandering journey and find the right samples to match. I didn't know where the track would go, but that was also part of the mystery.
When I've had a good break from the track, and it comes on again, maybe as I drive off on another long mission, I just feel proud and happy to experience it - hear how it has come together - once again. It achieved what I needed it to do - keep me attuned and inspired for driving and thinking inside the 'beauty of speed'.
I really hope you like it too! https://soundcloud.com/embient/drinking-the-road-free-drive?in=embertime/sets/embience
