At The North Pole a Christmas parody song

Hello, steemians, and welcome to my page!

This is a Christmas parody song that I was finally able to finish making. I wrote a rough draft of the words for this song quite a few years ago and I've had it floating around since then. I was never able to make the song before because I didn't have the music for it. I wrote it for a specific song, but was unable to find the music for it until recently. I recently got a karaoke disk that had the song on it, so I was finally able to work on the song.

I recorded the song from the karaoke disk into Audacity, and then used the vocal remover effect to remove as much as I could of the background voices on the chorus so that it wouldn't sound so weird with the parody vocals. After I had the music tracks prepared, I recorded the vocal part into Audacity along with the music. I had to time adjust the vocal track to the music track due to the latency of the vocal recording, but that's mostly fiddly work.

After I had the song finished, I decided to make a simple video to go along with the song. I downloaded creative commons images from the search engine to use in the making of the video. I loaded that up to youtube, and here is the result. I hope you enjoy it!
