It's J Dilla month!
In memory of legendary HipHop producer James Dewitt Yancey aka J Dilla and the legacy of incredible sonic offerings that he blessed the world with in his short time on this planet. I salute the King of Beats by not only listening to his music but also listening to the music and fellow producers that influenced his greatness.

This month I'm going back to my HipHop roots, digging through the vinyl vault to pick out some of my favorite songs that J Dilla sampled. The challenge is to flip the samples in a new way and add on to the Boombap tradition. To push my beats in a different direction I'm using my modular synth, Akai MPC60II and Elektron Machinedrum for this series of beats, in a style we call Modbap... modular synth boombap.
Inspiration:
J DILLA - Zelda
Mort Garson - They're Off To Find The Wozard
Rest in beats dilla! Thank's for sharing. I need this dilla figuere in my life!
