Tour diary #7 - Reading, UK

So, it's just one of those days. Driving from Brussels at 10pm - arriving at the Eurotunnel at 1pm it's not running because of a electrical failure. After 3hrs of wait time in Calais we decide to take the ferry instead. Next available ferry was at 6.15pm, which left us with a 5hr delay for the get in in Reading.

We arrive at the venue 20 min before show time - setup as fast as possible, quick line check, concert, then pack up, back in the van and driving straight to London.

Now arriving at the Travelodge hotel at 1am, they have overbooked so our rooms is already taken. But sure, they can find us another nearby Travelodge with vacant rooms. What a service! And this nearby hotel is only 30m across London in the van. So back to the van - more driving - a new hotel - and finally we arrive at 3am.

Things like this always seem to happen when you are on tour, and it's hard to do anything but forget about it and move on. And to never book anything at Travelodge ever again of course.
