All DJs hate it and talk a lot of smack about it, but I've spent the last year using it and dare I say I'm impressed.
Traktor is my favorite interface, but it doesn't do video so I used Serato for my bar gigs but about once a month it would crash on me.
Virtual DJ does all the same stuff, controllers, CDJs, whatever but it's more stable.
Something to consider for your video gigs.
I have never understood the hate for Virtual Dj! I don't use it exclusively but have used it often and you are right for someone who makes use of music videos it is essential!

Yeah it has a big stigma behind it but it's really pretty, I wish Rekordbox would get up to speed on video too. They have it, but I wouldn't trust running that 5 hours a night.
