Favorite Song Series - Stranglehold by Ted Nugent

in music •  7 years ago

Here is an oldie that is one of my all time favorite songs by a 1970's rock icon, Ted Nugent, The Nuge, Uncle Ted, Call him what you want, and maybe ignore is political leanings of late but back in the day he played some ass-kicking songs. This particular song is off his first album, self titled, Ted Nugent. He initially played with the band The Amboy Dukes from 1963 until he embarked on his solo career in 1975 along with his band consisting of ted (guitar, volcals), Derek St. Holmes (guitar, vocals), Rob Grange (bass) and Clifford Davies (drums). Other stand out songs on his first album included: Storm Troopin, Hey Baby, Snakeskin Cowboys, Motorcity Madhouse and others. All great songs, this was a classic 1970's album which has been one of my favorites since those days. Here it is, so enjoy!

Thanks for letting me share my favorite music with you all, Rock on!

Odd I don’t see your upvote

His 70s stuff is really good. I discovered him listening to Double Live Gonzo! that is a great live performance. I also love the two Damn Yankees albums.
