Pumped up Kicks is a special kind of song to me. Yes the lyrics are rather bizarre and not to make fun of but itś composition is just so catchy and a big contrast to the overall motive that leaves you with an mixed feeling of joy and surreal wonder.
I remember here in Germany a few years ago when this song played, everyone in my class was humming this song inside out. If you would ask them whatś this song about, they would only say: ¨I don´t know but i guess it is about some peeople having fun.¨
And thatś what fascinates me about it. Listening to it fills you with fun. A twisted surreal kind of fun.
