Intro: Caleb Here!

Hi, I want to formally introduce myself. I'm Caleb and I was introduced to Steemit by a good friend @marychris27 to join this site. I've been looking into getting involved in a community to share ideas, art, and life. I'm excited to be here and explore what others have to share and what I can contribute through this platform.

Music - has proven to be an effective outlet of expression for me as many of us can agree. I sing in the shower a lot Lol at the same time, share this with close friends in a Karaoke room, in a bed room of jamming sessions, or on stage in front of a crowd. I use to play the piano and find myself sometimes drowned in the moment of creating and writing music. Life is dull without music.

Nature - I was born in the Philippines strewn with tropical islands and white sand beaches where you can relax under the sun, breathe the fresh salty oceanic breeze and explore life under water. You can literally hop onto a boat and escape to an island paradise any day. On the other hand, I now live in one of the most beautiful places in the world - the evergreen state of Washington. Yes, we get a lot of the Seattle rain but to me that just changes the color of the scenery -- such as the tall pine trees that hover you, intimate trails that guide you deep into nature, roads that chase after mountains, and rivers that flow carelessly on its course. I enjoy getting lost by myself deep into nature and bask in the ambiance of Creation.

Travel - This breaks the mundane everyday life and helps me feel more and more part of everyplace and everyone. I love travelling. Thankfully, my work allows me to travel all over the West Coast of America from Washington down to California. I have also traveled to several countries all over the globe such as of course, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Mainland China, Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong and Macau. Every time I hop on a plane, the feeling of excitement never gets old. I love to immerse into different cultures, delve into people's way of living, to teach and to learn by experiencing life with others wherever I travel.

Pastries and Food - I grew up in almost literally a bread house. My family owns a bakery chain and I wake up everyday to the smell of freshly baked loaves of bread, pastries, cookies and cakes given that as soon as you step out of my room, it over looks our baking factory. Hahaha. I guess I can say I had a sweet childhood and sweet tooth runs in the family. So baking and food has been an integral part of me. That means I also have a keen sense of what's a poorly done piece of milk bread to how an elaborate wedding cake should look like.

Tattoos and Ink Art - I love seeing art on a canvas. In such a limited space, you still see an endless expression of words. Being more specific, I think the skin is the most beautiful canvas. With tattoo art, it's not just paint slapped on a wall but it tells a story of each canvas' life and it's the form of art that to me becomes completely part of a person. I have several tattoos myself and the process of creating one from sketches then needles to skin, intrigues me. It's a form of art you not only see but experience yourself.

Faith - It is the substance to see things the eyes cannot see, and hope for things that are to come. Without faith, I would not be the person I am at all today (to be exact, won't be here as a person in existence at this moment at all). Faith has saved me and helps me continue to appreciate the life I have, to hope and aspire for greater things, to believe in others, and experience the love of God that above all surpasses any bliss this world can offer.

At the end of the day, I am just a simple guy who loves friends, family, God and life!
There are a lot of things about me that I would like to share and can't simply put into just one post, and that's probably why I am also on Steemit LOL. So this is Caleb and glad to be here!
