Rewrite The Stars - The Greatest Showman

This will be the last installment for my mini-series of charting some of the hit songs from The Greatest Show. This is both my manager and cellist's favorite song. I do understand the reason behind it. It's a love song with beautiful lyrics. When you have 'moon' or 'stars' in your romantic expressions, you win hands down. There has been more than 1 case where I've seen musicians play a whole set of songs that contain the word 'moon' in the titles; these include How High The Moon, Moon River, Dancing In The Moonlight, Talking To The Moon, not forgetting a very popular Chinese tune by Teresa Tang - The Moon Represents My Heart.

'Rewrite The Stars' is a beautiful duet sung Phillip Carlyle & Anne Wheeler, the leading actor and actress in the movie. Unlike the main actor and actress (P. T. Barnum and Charity Barnum), both Phillip and Anne are fictional characters. My lecturer in film school that taught on scriptwriting always reminded us to insert a 'B story' in our script. It can either be linked/connected with the main story or not. I guess the Romeo-and-Juliet-esque love story between these two teenagers is the 'B story' that the audience likes to see.

If you hadn't recognized the male lead, it belongs to Zac Efron. Who could forget the fresh face that appeared in High School Musical, and took the world by storm? I still remember my university friend asking me to watch this Disney Channel show, which I was skeptical at first; me being 'all grown up' then, what could Disney still offer me. ;) Well, I followed the whole 'trilogy'. Zendaya, on the other hand, is my first time hearing about her. She did impress with her performance in the movie though.
