The group emerged in 1999 in the city of Cordoba Capital, with its first line up: Manuel Orellana and Ernesto Guevara, guitarist of Raly Barrionuevo, currently a soloist. In 2001, Manuel Orellana came to participate in the recording of the album "Circo Criollo" by Raly Barrionuevo, as a musician and also with his voice in most of the songs, then he was part of the promotional tour of this same album. Shortly, Ernesto Guevara leaves Presagio, to join the band of Raly Barrionuevo and joins the young musician Santiago of Rodolfo Lucca. Lucca, came to integrate the duet Pueblo Inside with Rolando Rosales, with whom he released an independent album called "Swirl".

Already with this training and with the percussionist Martin Bruhn, give form and sound to this project.
In October 2002, they independently released the album "Alma Maternal", which included their own compositions, those of renowned authors and that of young composers from Santiago. Also featured in this album are guest artists such as Horacio Banegas, Raly Barrionuevo, Duo Coplanacu and Gustavo Chazarreta, as well as the musicians: Cristiano "Mono" Banegas, Romualdo Helman, Ernesto Guevara, Eduardo Misoguchi, Emily Horts and Eduardo Salguero.

Manu Sija is 27 years old, although he is already a veteran in music. He played with artists like Leon Gieco, Liliana Herrero, Divididos and Carlos Vives, and achieved the recognition of guitarists of the likes of Pat Metheny and Juan Falú, two decisive influences on his sound.
