Few words about our Ukrainian tour + New Official Video "High Stakes"

This fall Chasing Embers went on the first Ukrainian tour to support our first album Beckoning Call.
We went on tour with another great band Esquizet (psychedelic rock). They are also a female fronted band.
We decided to call it Sweet and Violent Tour.

After the arrival in Kyiv (our hometown), our drummer made a music video using video materials that we shot during this tour.
We invite you to watch this video right now:

And now, especially for the steemit community, we will tell you a little details about our trip.
Preparation for the tour began six months before it started.
The main goal of our tour was to test yourself, to understand how will we feel ourselves being every day on the road and performing our music on the stage every day.
It was also interesting what difficulties we will face during our journey. Because in 2020 we are going on a tour across the European countries, and it will much more stressfull trip.
In addition to the participants of the two bands, our manager, sound engineer and photographer (a good friend of Esquizet band) traveled with us.
We rented a minivan with the driver for 10 days and went on a trip)

As a result, we visited 8 cities, including our hometown, we saw and understood a lot of interesting things.

Here is a list of the most interesting things:

  1. In some cities, 70 people came to the concert, and in some only 7-). We expected this to happen. You need to be ready for this (especially if you play on Monday)
  2. Ukrainian roads can be extremely bad. In one village, we encountered the fact that someone had stolen a metal piece of a bridge that connects the land with a bridge(most likely to sell it for scrap). We had to ask the locals to give us some wooden boards to
call on the bridge and cross the river)
  3. It is necessary to improve immunity. On the second day, after the night in hostel, all members of a band, except the drummer, got a cold. By the way, our drummer was taking antibiotics during the whole tour, because 5 days before the tour, doctors found he had a Lyme disease due to a tick bite happened in summer.
  4. In one of the cities, we spent 2 hours on the soundcheck, due to the fact that the local sound engineer could not figure out his equipment, and something constantly did not work for us. As a result, we were already quite tired and nervous. Then we realized how much more difficult it would be to have a soundcheck if we hadn’t had our own sound engineer.
We are happy with the tour, we gained experience, understood what should be worked on, made sure that people like our music.
And now we have even more desire to create new songs and raise the bar!
