#musicdiscovery - Acoustic Bliss

Hello Steemians and fellow music lovers!

Today I thought I would share some of my favorite acoustic numbers with you all. These are MY FAVORITES - and for that reason you won't see regulars such as Wonderwall or Every Rose has its Thorn (Oasis are my second most hated band behind U2!)

FIrstly remember if you want to go in the draw to win 3SBD check this link. To enter all you need to do is offer me some 80s music in the comments. It's that easy!

Sticky Fingers - Cyclone

Sticky Fingers are an Australian band who play in the style or rock, blues, reggae and dub - their music is quite varied! These guys gelled with my musical taste straight away - they have a similar sound to a lot of dub reggae musicians from New Zealand. I am absolutely in LOVE with this tune ‘Cyclone’ awesome rhythm and the guy has a amazing voice!

Ed Sheeran - Trap Queen

Ed Sheeran is one of the most popular musicians on the planet right now - and is touring the world playing to sell out concerts supporting his latest album Divide. One of his songs I love is actually a cover of a rap song by Fetty Wap called ‘Trap Queen’. What I love about this song is that Ed has taken it and completely made it his own. I am not a huge rap fan, and I listened to original after hearing the Ed Sheeran version, and I really didn't like it! The lyrics are pretty funny. Let me know what you think:

I am Giant - Duality

As I’m from New Zealand I often include a song from my home country. I am Giant have been rocking New Zealand for nearly a decade with their mix of grunge, rock and heavy metal. Their acoustic cover of Slipknot showed their diversity and the singers brilliant vocal range

Incubus - Mexico

Incubus was a band I loved in the 90s and early 2000s, and for me their newer albums have been a bit disappointing. Incubus have recorded many of their songs acoustically so it is hard to choose just one, but I really love the version of ‘Mexico’ from the album morning view:

Zakk Wylde - N.I.B

This last one is just a bit of a laugh, but is actually pretty clever. Zakk Wylde is one of my favorite guitar players - playing as a solo musician, as the lead guitar player of Black Label Society and also playing guitar for Ozzy Osbourne in the past. Zakk shows here that he doesn't need a proper and expensive guitar to sound good - an awesome version of the Black Sabbath song N.I.B on a mini Hello Kitty guitar:

I’d love to hear what your favorite acoustic songs are!
