The album I invite you to listen is hard to place in any of those categories. Consider it the work of a pioneer.
Although Robert Fripp is better known as the sempiternal King Crimson monarch and guitar Maestro. He has another side, somehow abandoned in the last decade. Electronic manipulation of the millions of textures that an e-guitar can produce.
His approach was known as Frippertronics and this album...
...is the best example of it. Layers and more layers of abrasive yet beautiful harmonies, that are as acid as they are melancholy bounded.
It might be labeled as ambient, but it cuts so deep inside anyone's brain, that ambient coldness is absent here.
A musical experience to be had in solitude, surrounded by waves of darkness and flavored with a big glass of thick red wine.
