16 year old me playing a metalcore guitar riff I wrote.

Oh, man. Just look at that slick Microsoft Movie Maker intro. Classic 2007-08 youtubing. So, I've been uploading some of these really old riffs I found of myself when I was a kid over the past few weeks. This one comes from about 10 years ago back when I was 16 years old. This was when I was heavily getting into metalcore music and started writing it myself. This was something I came up with after a few hours of messing around that I liked at the time. It's really interesting watching the span of months between these videos and how much my playing style continued to change and adapt more towards melodic metal than thrash or death metal. I really need to pick myself up a new guitar and get back to playing, something I've said several times now on these videos. But, I really think I'm at least moderately decent at guitar and kinda screwed myself over by quitting and not playing for years.

Anyways, just wanted to upload these videos since they're a trip down memory lane for me and reminds me of a time where I was passionate about music. Hope you guys don't mind this stuff, though I only have a couple of videos left that I recorded and uploaded. I really have to wonder how much music I wrote that I've just forgotten about over the years. Once I get back to playing I'll have to hook up to my laptop and make sure I record my sessions of writing so I don't lose anything decent that I come up with. Pretty sure I'm also going to download some drum software so I can make some kind of backing track to play to. But, anyways, thanks for stopping by to check out the video. Appreciate it!
