While it was not the first single to feature rapping, it is generally considered to be the song that first popularized hip-hop in the United States and around the world.

Listen and sing along

The Sugarhill Gang with the great song "Rappers Delight" including all the Lyrics for your sing a long.

People say

Rap music with actual wordplay, clever rhymes, creativity, and good fun. What went wrong between then and now? This is the kind of hip-hop we should be hearing, not the cookie cutter junk we're stuck with.

let me tell ya something there's still one fact
That to have a party ya got to have a rap.!!!!!

Love this song!
One of the coolest rap songs!

It is one of the first rap songs ever!!

enjoy and dance

I remember the song because my dad do play it when I was a kid. Rap is actually word play, poetry and rhymes. Rap is cool, but this old school hip hop is sounding odd now to me maybe because Rap has evolved

This are the roots from far beyond

From time to time it is worth listen it

Great hip hop music...........i love it
