"Tributes To Hip-Hop Producer Nujabes | Reflection Eternal

Artist: Nujabes
Genre: Nu jazz, Breakbeat, Trip-Hop, Hip-Hop, Tribute

Jun Seba (R.I.P) also known as Nujabes (Nujabesu), was a Japanese Producer a DJ and a Composer. Nujabes was known for his production style of atmospheric instrumental sampling approach from hip hop and jazz records.
(For more information about sampling you can check out my previous post on that subject).

Nujabes was the founder of the independent label called Hydeout Productions, He released 3 solo studio albums: Metaphorical Music (2003), Modal Soul (2005) my favorite and Spiritual State (2011), also we can't forget to mention he produced the background music for the famous anime series by the Japanese anime film maker Shinichirō Watanabe Samurai Champloo (2004)

Unfortunately we lost Jun Seba in a traffic collision On February 26 of 2010. (Rest In Powah!)

Here's a list of his 3 albums :

Nujabes - Metaphorical Music (2003)

Nujabes - Modal Soul (2005)

Nujabes - Spiritual State

Some nice tunes this Nujabes is making, creating and playing!

@qsounds yes mah man glad you like it, Nujabes was a legend.. i think he became more known after he passed away given he was in studio most of the time creating great music he wasent much of the all out perfomer artist type

Great selection as always man. I'll also add if you haven't heard/seen this one yet, Daddy Kev of Low End Theory did a tribute mix about two years back and it's a great retrospective of his musical legacy. Check it out:

@rawselectmusic Kudos on feedback mah man! Daddy kev is dope haven't heard that mix ima check it out, respect on the tip ;)

Very important tribute. The younger generation doesn't know about Nujabes and his role in hip-hop history. You can listen to Nujabes anytime of the day. I enjoyed Samurai Champloo for many reasons, but mainly because of the soundtrack. I didn't know Nujabes was behind that. Thanks for the knowledge!

@scuzzy yes mah man Jujabes (Rest In Power!) is a legend and his music will live on for generations to come, im also a big fan of Samurai Shamploo and the opening credits i can play on repeat for days thats the Nujabes music effect haha, i would say Samurai Shamploo is the best fusion for me of samurai and hiphop cultures . Kudos!
