PAN's next full-length release will be the debut album from STILL.
The collaborative project, overseen by Simone Trabucchi, aims to "connect his hometown of Vernasca to Ethiopia and Jamaica," an undertaking that first took shape last year. A series of works titled Negus—including sculptures, installations, a book and a feature-length documentary starring Lee 'Scratch' Perry—were presented by Invernomuto, the duo of Trabucchi and Simone Bertuzzi. (The documentary was screened at last year's Unsound Festival.) The LP, I, follows the themes explored in the film: Italy's colonial past and its links to Ethiopian and Jamaican symbols. It includes the work of six African-Italian vocalists—Devon Miles, Keidino, Taiywo, Freweini, Elinor and Germay—and will hit the shelves on September 15th.
