Fun Music Challenge Day 4 of 10

I'm on day 4 of the 10-day challenge. I know I have not been doing daily posts, but the entries are in sequence.

As for albums that I have posted in this series so far, I made an effort to feature the ones where I have about 50% of the songs in my playlist. I feel it is somewhat silly to write about an "album" when I don't even like at least half the contents in it.

Of course, this would also mean singles are out of the question. Perhaps I will start a challenge that only features singles from different artists after this one. We shall see.

Going back to the early 2000's again. Evanescence was also popular amongst my peers, whether or not you were into the gothic theme the band was marketing. Even today, many people are still familiar with songs such as Bring Me to Life or the memes that go with it. Middle school was a strange time.

Many of Evanescence's works were meant to be dark and depressing. I am 95% sure that they catered to kids who were going through their "emo" stage of life when they were still trying to discover themselves. I think the band's name is fitting and unique. Although, I do find an element of irony given how I have not heard any news about them in years.

Fifteen years after the album's release, I found myself noting how some of the messages from the songs stared at me directly, especially after several unfortunate twist of events in my own personal relationships. The song that resonated the most with me in the past two years is Everybody'
s Fool. Sad, I know, but that's how life goes.

If life is getting you down, I do suggest you give Evanescence a listen. The music will most likely help add some dramatization to your blues.

Looking through my playlist, I realized I have some weird songs on there. I will try to bring out in the next six entries.
