Fun Music Challenge Day 5 of 10

We are half way there in terms of discovering what @enforcer48 has on his playlist. And geez, I really don't like writing in third-person. I like this challenge thus far. It gave me something to write about.

Anyhow, I want to write about a lesser known band whose songs are actually the very first ones that I owned.

I feel like a hipster when I say this band was the first band I actively listened to when I was in the transition from middle to high school, and no one has probably heard of them. The first Crossfade song I listened to was Cold. Like my early obsession with Evanescence, Crossfade added dramatization to my teenage life.

How did I find Crossfade? This goes back to the earlier days of YouTube when AMVs, or anime music videos, were a thing on the platform. I remember the AMV I was watching was one about Kingdom Hearts: Chains of Memories. Do you feel old yet?

Since then, the band held a special place in my heart. When I first got onto Spotify, their works were the first ones I added to my list. Hilariously, they were also my first iTunes purchases when I got myself a smartphone back in 2012.

Again, I would be surprised if anyone on Steemit has actually heard of this band.

Fast forward to 2018, I don't think the band is active anymore. Ed Sloan, one of the original members, still produces works. I have not checked those out yet, but I will get to them at some point.

These days, I listen to Crossfade for sentimental reasons.
