What interesting new songs or albums were released or were topping the charts on September the 26th in the history of music? What has happened on this day in the music universe? I apologize in advance that my view is quite narrow since I only know and follow western music.

In 1995 The Velvet Underground released their five disc anthology “Peel Slowly & See”.

It is appropriate to invite you to a “Sunday Morning”.

In 1979 The Clash released their first single in USA “I Fought the Law”.

In 1964 The Kinks released their single “You Really Got Me”.

Please remember that these artists and songs are my personal choices and are not always what you would consider a great hit. OK, most of the time they are.

    Some of the best songs may have come out 30, 40, 50 years ago but they are still SO GOOD!

    I was amazed when I was compiling the list above. Kinks in 1964? Wow, that's prehistoric :) Even better than The Beatles ...
