Synesthesia Review: Chizzy - Measurements

in music •  7 years ago

Chizzy delivers the first eigengrau song of 2018 despite there being many other releases in the first month and a half.

The Connections & collaborative king flies solo this time around. He delivers a soulful track on probably the most appropriate day of the entire year. He has perfect timing with its release too. There are going to be babies made to this tonight.

The song is kept nice and short, which is perfect as that makes it easier to listen to. The instrumental, which was handled by Ill Major, is the perfect backdrop for Chizzy's vocals that blend into it perfectly. The song almost borders on trap-soul. That opens its reach to a wider audience.

This is the type of joint that can be made into a duet as a remix. I can think of no better candidate than sultry songstress and real life girlfriend, Tara. Whether something like that even materializes is entirely up to the couple. I'm eagerly awaiting an answer if there's even a slight possibility of another version of it might be released in the near future.

The Gated Community maestro absolutely hits the nail right on its head with this release and with the impending construction about to start on Connections III; Chizzy looks set for a busy 2018.
