Delphia Yachts is a Polish based yacht manufacturer founded in 1990 by the brothers Piotr and Wojciech Kot. With a production of more than 150 units per year, it’s the largest luxury yacht builder in Poland, with boats ranging in length from 7 to 15 meters. In 2012 this company purchased Maxi Yachts from Sweden. A yacht is any boat whose length is between 2.5 and 24 metres long.
The propulsion of a yacht can be motor or sailing and is used for pleasure or for sport. The first yachts were fast and light sailboats used by the Dutch navy to chase pirates in the shallow waters of the Netherlands. With the arrival of steamships, sailboats were regarded luxury vessels. Later, large motorboats were also called yachts for recreational purposes. They may have one or more engines, either outboard or integrated into the hull of the ship.
This theme starts as an exquisite ballad, but then it’s animated in 3/4 meter at medium tempo and this duality is repeated throughout the composition. Hubbard begins his solo in a delicate way, but introducing a little more daring phrases, and in the quickest part he plays without restrictions. He is followed by Hancock with the organ, which sounds like in a church, and a stimulating and bluesy speech using a lot of chords. Afterwards, Hubbard reappears accompanied by Henderson’s subtle flute to re-expose the theme.
