The theme has a rather strange melody. Suddenly, walking appears and Rollins begins to make his solo, also quite strange at first, although later he walks along more conventional paths. He chains one phrase after another and has a very lively pace. Next Hall appears performing a coherent solo with notes and then chords. Cranshaw follows him making his solo without giving up walking. Rollins returns to swap four-bar solos with Riley taking turns with Hall for a long time. Suddenly walking disappears and they re-expose the strange theme.
