John Coltrane (tenor sax), Duke Ellington (piano), Aaron Bell (bass) and Sam Woodyard (drums). From the album Duke Ellington & John Coltrane (1963).
There are many famous people called Stevie. The best known is Stevie Wonder, American musician, singer, composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist. He was a child prodigy and is considered one of the greatest commercial successes of the late twentieth century. But among others are: Stevie B, American singer, composer and producer, well known in the dance music scene of the 1980s. Stevie Nicks, singer and songwriter, known as “The Queen of Rock & Roll.” There is also Stevie J, American musician, record producer, composer and television figure, and Stevie Ryan, actress, comedian and popular for her videos on YouTube.
The music of Ellington contains a certain mystery that could accompany a thriller. Coltrane enters breaking the daydreams of the piano. It has a certain touch of blues. In fact, it's a blues played at medium tempo. But, of course, Coltrane cannot stay in the conventional and begins to distort the theme with his phrases. He wants to get away from the established by juggling with the saxophone. Now he is replaced by Ellington whose discourse is more balanced, but containing that original aura of mystery.
