Quick intro : I'm musician and DJ JamesPB. Lived in London since age 5 and Hackney is where I call home.

I grew up in Muswell Hill, around the acid jazz scene of the early 90's, we went to Camden for kicks, the market was a proper market in those days and Bagleys was a fantastic venue. I remember seeing James Brown, Prince, the JB's, Omar, Vivienne McKone, Galliano, Average White Band and the list is long, but many nights of funk were enjoyed.
I met Barry Hogan (All Tomorrow's Parties) playing weekend football for a local club, Fortismere, and he persuaded me to meet his friends and start jamming, we became FatCat, and played at many venues from The Jazz Cafe, to the famous Wag Club Soho, even Brent Cross Shopping Centre one Xmas, that night we did 2 gigs in one night, fortunately as the management interrupted our performance after 3 songs, the second gig that night was at Trent College Enfield, where we got paid handsomely.
This just an introduction, so I'll keep it short. I've been on an incredible journey since those days, and I'd like to use Steemit to upload these stories and photos.
