今回ご紹介するのは、THREE1989 “Rambling Rose” です。
THREE1989 は、1989年生まれの3人で構成されたエレクトロバンド。“Rambling Rose” は、2019年の3rdアルバム『Kiss』に収録されています。
6/8拍子（ハチロク）のスローなリズムに、ピアノやフェンダーローズ 、オルガンがゆったりと漂うサウンドに、Shoheyの伸びのあるボーカルと、美しいコーラス・ワーク。80年代シティ・ポップやR＆Bをアップデートしたような素晴らしいバラードに仕上がっています。
1982年のアルバム『For You』に収録。6/8拍子に乗ったブルージーなピアノと重厚なコーラスワークが印象的な80年代シティ・ポップの傑作。CHEMISTRYの堂珍嘉邦がライヴでカヴァー。
1982年のアルバム『1999』に収録。プリンスのファルセットとシャウトが堪能できるハチロクバラードの傑作。
2016年のアルバム『ANTI』に収録。プリンスとアル・グリーンからインスピレーションを受けたとか。ドゥワップ調のコーラスが新鮮。
