OK, so onto what everyone is curious about: Carrie's accident last November. The one that left her with a broken wrist and over 40 stitches in her face.
Since the accident, Carrie’s stayed out of the public eye and even told her fans back in January that she may not look the same. In a blog post she wrote, "I honestly don’t know how things are going to end up but I do know this: I am grateful. I am grateful that it wasn’t much, much worse."
Last Sunday she performed her new single "Cry Pretty" at the ACM Awards and I think we can all agree she looked flawless.
Note: Her legs also looked flawless. Her voice was also flawless. She's just perfection.
After her performance and Instagram selfie, people were saying they couldn't even tell she had been in an accident
But, in a recent interview with the The Bobby Bones Show, she opened up about what happened. Carrie told host Bobby Bones, "I was taking the dogs out to go pee-pee one last time and I tripped, and there was one step, and I didn’t let go of the leashes. Priorities!"
She added, "But I went to catch myself and I just missed a step. If I had fallen anywhere else, I would’ve been perfectly fine. It was one step that messed everything up."
Carrie said, "I've been very fortunate in the healing process," adding that she was lucky that it was around the holidays and the music world was taking a break.
"I was at a point where I didn't know how things were going to end up. I didn't know what it was going to heal like."
Bones admitted he didn't see anything different with her face. Carrie then revealed that it happened around her mouth.
She said she thinks her scar will always be there. When asked what her son thought of everything, Carrie said, "I was worried he would be scared of me. But, now if I put makeup on, he's like 'Momma your booboo all gone?'"
Referring to her makeup, Carrie joked, "I've got some plaster on right now, it's no big deal. Cement, spackle."
Carrie, we are glad you are doing so well. Keep slaying
