Asobi Seksu - Strawberries

I don't think I've ever shared a song

from this band before, though a decade or so ago, I was definitely pretty hooked on their music. I had just begun to delve into '90s alternative, which led me to shoegaze and dream pop, and then back to the present (2010-ish), to contemporary bands like this. The group was originally formed in 2001, though their original name was Sportfuck (lol), though they changed it after releasing a single EP. Vocalist and keyboard Yuki Chikudate and guitarist James Hanna were the only two founding members who stayed with the group until its eventual break-up in 2013. In that 12 year period, they only release 4 full length albums, though they had quite a few EPs and singles. I first discovered them from the album that this song is from, 2006's Citrus. It definitely is a shoegazey, dream pop album, but they have an extra catchy, fun element that a lot of earlier shoegaze doesn't, which I definitely enjoy. Their lives shows were supposed to be a lot fun, though I unfortunately missed them when they came here.

Yes, this is Good!

Shoegazey, dream pop and some punk or post punk. Whatever it is, it's cool! :)

hehe, yea I love these guys. I hadn't heard them years, had forgotten how cool they were.
