Girl from Ipanema - Guitar Cover

in music •  5 years ago  (edited)

Some might say this is elevator music when you hear a cheesy version, but for me it's a very challenging song, and it can be played many different ways with different instruments, so every jazz guitar player knows this song, and yet some people like rockers can't stand this Jobim classic. I think it is a beautiful song, and also an important progression to know because of not only the popularity, but also the nice chord changes for solos.

I created a backing track with just the guitar chord progression for anyone who might want to play the melody along with the track, and then I play the chord melody along with the backing track with a solo to show a simple example of what you might want to play.
