Was thinking of 2pac Dopefiends Diner a play on the song Toms Diner

I really love the 2pac version of it. There are a few versions of Dopfiends Diner but that doesn't matter that much. The point is the sentiment and story of the song. The tune Tom's Diner was very popular in the 90's. The original I know is the DNA And Suzanne Vega version

Now for 2pac Dopefiends Diner cover/rendition one can find a 2007 release and a few others on youtube. The 2007 version cannot be found on youtube due to copyright issues. 2pac tells the tale of a shooting at a diner. He tells of the tragedy that the media and news papers don't care to see. What it's like to be in the middle of hell when your just on your way to getting some snack food. No one is there to help and the media are indifferent to the immediate plight of the real life people there. A very well done song.

oop well I found a bootlegged version on youtube again. Just find the song for yourself. Point is the 90's used to be a time when the white culture found urban culture to be Chic and cool! Then shortly after it became so badly compartmentalised that all mom and pop stores and the 90's movements went out of fashion while more plastic cultures attempted to fill in the void. Now ubran means box houses that white middle class people live in, resulting in Ghost towns everywhere for everyone (Urban sprawl by poor city planners). 2pac took a song about twiddling your thumbs at a cafe to a life and death situation. It's the twiddling the thumbs whoop dee do culture that created the danger and the indifference by that culture to the aftermath of the victims involved. It turns the victims into forms of entertainment, which does not! help!!! those people in any way.

I wouldn't have remembered the song if it wasn't for 2pac
