Yes, I know. My bad. The Wu Wednesday posts have been falling short since Dilla Month is still running. Nevertheless, as a new Wu-Tang video has dropped, I need to share it with you because that's what I do, right?
So let's get started! The video dropped about a week ago and is pretty average and laid back. Driving around in nice cars, posing and rapping in front of it. Oh, and some drone shots as well. Never forget the drone shots.. Just kidding ;)
Wu-Tang - Lesson Learn'd ft. Redman, Inspectah Deck
Fellow hip-hop heads. What do you think? I have to admit I had to listen to it a couple of times. Like at least ten times in a row! It got a nice beat, Red and Inspectah Deck's flow fabulous as always. Just real decent rap music. But something is missing...
I don't know what it is, and it drives me nuts!
And yes, I know it's no "actual" Wu-Tang Clan album, but I miss them altogether, visually in music videos. Can somebody relate? Let me know! Don't get me wrong, I don't hate it.
I enjoyed the track, but I did not go completely bonkers like I used to do it when new music of my most favorite group of all time was released.

hmmm... well... I don't have that strong of a relation to the Wu... so to me it's no surprise to hear it as overly laid back, laid back to a degree where it gets a bit monotonous...
I dunno, the verses are pretty good, the beat is tight, but I think it's the hook that makes the whole thing a tad bit lame?!
