Favorite Venues

Hey all. In this week's blog I want to talk more about the music venues I have been to in St.Louis. As I said, “Off Broadway” is like an old comfortable shoe for me, but it is not favorite venue.

I would have to say that “The Pageant” would be my favorite. The reasons I like this place is because it’s much bigger and newer and colorful. I can move around at The Pageant fairly easy compared to other venues. My wheelchair doesn't exactly turn around on a dime. I need my space.

Some of the shows I've gone to at The Pageant is Ragweed, Blackberry Smoke, Lukas Nelson (Willie's son), Reckless Kelly and The Bottle Rockets. Other venues I have been to are “Old Rock House”, “Atomic Cowboy” and “The Ready Room.”

During the summer months, Eckert's in Belleville has free outdoor concerts.I have enjoyed bands like John D. Hale and Courtney Patton at this venue. Eckert's has very good root beer floats too!
