My name is Josh and I am a drummer/guitarist living in Columbia, South Carolina. I have been working with the group Pluto Wilson for the past few years with an aim to to create music strictly from improvisation. Although not suitable for the mainstream, I'm hoping to find a community receptive of the music we are producing.
I am not saying that every time we get together and jam we come up with something great. It is however truly raw and lacking elaborate production. Some nights we get together and the music is rough to listen back. However, there are those times where I am completely blow away by the music. You find yourself in a jam listening to the other players, trying to build from a riff or melody that just comes out of the moment.
I have worked on those projects in the past where each instrument is recorded individually and I'm not knocking that method. I just feel there is much more opportunity to connect with the other musicians when you record live.
Pleas let me know your thoughts on our music! I plan on sharing some more music as well as some of my experiences recording and playing live!
