My Top Songs for 2018 : Part 3

Last day of the year and it’s time to see my top favorite songs of 2018.

Spotify made a list of the songs that I heard most during this year and I am sharing them with you in three parts, five songs each time.

Number 5: Outloud - I Am the One

A Greek hard and heavy band and a song from their latest release “Virtual Hero society”, which is an awesome choice if you like melodic heavy metal. Wish them all the best in 2019 and hope they reach the success they deserve.

Number 4: Omen - Don’t Fear the Night

Going very old school here with Omen an 80s classic heavy metal band. From time to time I visit my music roots and remember classics from the past. You can’t go more classic with Omen.

Number 3: Orphaned Land - Like Orpheus

I have posted this songs more than once. This band from Israel was the pleasant surprise of 2018 with their Oriental Melodic Heavy Metal. This is the top single , but the album has many more beautiful songs.

Number 2: Septic Flesh - Faust

One of my all time favorite songs from this Greek extreme metal band. Don’t let the very melodic symphonic intro foul you. This song is heavy as hell… Literally.

Number 1: Mystic Prophesy - You Keep me Hangin’ On

I knew I listened this song so many times and I love, but number one ? Ok, I trust Spotify, they must know better. A Kim Wilde cover from a German Heavy Metal band. Time has passed and finally we metalheads can admit how we love 80s pop. Great cover … Rocking , upbeat , catchy … A deserving number one song of the year.

That was the last part of my 2018 musical review. I listen to music a lot and these more were played many times. And an honorable mention that will set the tone for 2019.

I feel that during 2018 I wasn’t who I should have been. But learned my lessons and now 2019 I am ready to kick some ass.
