Producing Soulful R&B Melodies With Instrumentals # 6 - Law Of Vision (FREE DOWNLOAD)

Bright Concert Piano KW.png

For this soulful tune, I literally used only 4 sounds that made this instrumental whole. The 1st sound that I used was the Bright Concert Piano KW out of the virtual studio technology SAMPLE TANK. As you can see in the above screenshot image, is the main pattern to the main melody of the beat.

After I laid down the foundation piano sound to get the instrumental music going, I then started to work on the drums for the beat. I like to keep my drum patterns simple because it allows the melody to flourish. Some of my beats have simple drum works and some have complicated drum patterns with a lot of break downs. It all depends on the type of vibe that I'm getting off the beat. Make sure to listen to what your instrumental music is telling you when you are creating it because music speaks to us and if you can't hear your own music that you are creating then you're going to have a tough time bonding with your own creation in my opinion.

The second out of the 4 sounds that I used to make this soulful tune whole was the Violins Section in the VSTi sample tank. I basically copied the main melody's pattern and overlay-ed it onto the pianos to act as a duo and this duo combo was a perfect match to bring the instrumental vibe to it's soulful tune. It's extremely hard to not hear these long strings because it is the only long string in the instrumental that is playing.

The 3rd sound that I also added were these short pizzicato violins. This is the first sound you will hear as the intro to the beat and I also copied the main melody's pattern for this sound. Basically, the second and third sound were copied and pasted so this instrumental turned out to be pretty easy once the main melody was created ;-)

Sub Bass.png

You know I couldn't forget about the world famous SUB BASS from the VSTi plugin Hypersonic for the fourth and final sound. It's not really world famous, I just said that because I'm always using this sub bass for most of my instrumental hip hop music beats or in other genres of instrumentals that I create. This bass line is basically going along with the melody of the beat, can you hear it? This bass is what gives the instrumental beat it's bump, very hard to miss if you have some good headphones or speakers in general.

Below is the finished version of the instrumental and it is for free download. If you really like these instrumentals that I am posting, please feel free to leave a comment below, all feedbacks are appreciated, including negative ones as well. Thank You.

Dope beat I really like that sub bass. I remember when I tried to make beats it never sounded anything close to this so i decided to stick to being a lyricist and that sub bass was speaking to me. I couldn't help but write something to it and ending up writing a hook.

Hook:
i seen so many make the news,
life is cool until ya lose,
perservance get you through,
sometimes that shit seem hard to do.

Your beat inspired me and i love being inspired. I followed you and I will be checking out your other stuff so keep em coming for the culture.

I'm glad that I got to inspire you @sporadicthinker! You should try to record that hook so I can hear how it sounds, that would be super dope! I'm always posting something new every day so you'll see more and more @instrumentals on your feed so thank you for following me. It's funny because when you see more of my future post, you're going to see & hear me use that bass sound, It's one of my favorite basses that I like to use on the majority of my instrumental beats! Thanks again for listening, stay tuned for more!
