Ne-Yo has been scoring a number of hits at that time, and Miss Independent is one of them making it to number 7 in United States from Billboard data. It also became a top 10 hit in UK when it reached mumber 6. The music video was released when YouTube is acquiring popularity, yet it was viewed more than 220 million times while this is being written.
